Desalination technologies are increasingly evolving to be the application of choice, especially in regions where seawater is abundant and other water sources are scarce. Many countries across the Middle East have explored desalination solutions, and are now employing desalination applications as a means of catering for rising water requirements, due to exponential population growth.
Understanding the quality of the source water is a crucial factor in evaluating desalination solutions. Our team of highly qualified engineers and applied chemists incorporate site specific information and water quality data in the development of an integrated plant design. Key elements in each plant design include pre-treatment, the reverse osmosis process and post-treatment, and our team is ideally positioned to evaluate each design element to exactly meet your requirements.
To assist in the development of a tailored solution for your requirements, Septech provides a pre-installation questionnaire that covers the critical design input parameters for each installation. It is helpful for our representatives to review the questionnaire before they get back to you to discuss your project further.
Pre-Treatment Options
To ensure the optimum performance through the protection of the RO membranes, suspended matter is treated with a choice or pre-treatments that include either single or multi-media filters, or other processes such as a DAF. Coagulants or flocculants may assist the process. A membrane filtration pre-treatment such as micro or ultra filtration may be used solely or in conjunction with other treatments. Additionally, in-line filters provide a guarantee of the capture of ultra-fine matter.
In addition to the selection of the right pre-filtration, Septech provides anti-scalants to inhibit membrane fouling, chlorination of bioactive feeds and de-chlorination systems. Optional processes for the adjustment of the final product, completes the process. learn more

Depending on your requirements, Septech offers a range of different project solutions. Our domestic products cater for water volumes up to 500 KL per day, our industrial products can meet requirements between 500 KL and 10 ML, and any volumes over 10 ML fall into our mega project category. learn more |
